i wonder why EA never tried to make a browser biased version of UO.....I mean the technology can do it, and there's money to be made from it.....and why stop at a just a browser....do you guys have any idea how many people are playing farmville? UO would get a new life on facebook.....and a new life is exactly what it needs....it's not just obsidian with no players...most of the free shards have dismal numbers now days....so it's not like when obsidian gets back on it's feet we will be able to go to the next shard over and take some players...

Anyway,just waiting for the Ambian to overtake the lorazepam then I'm off to sleep.....

While the concept of a web browser -based UO client sounds neat, I bet it would be a real bastard to code in AJAX

You are right about the other shards. I've heard and read a few places that the average # of all free shards... at least those which are using RunUO (Pretty sure there more RunUO shards than Sphere shards) is only 8 people.

With Obsidian though... I think once stuff is straightened out, the shard can draw many players young and old on the premise of "Oldest running shard" and "oldschool shard". It's just the "oldschool" part that has kind of been up for debate with some of the changes to Obsidian shard.

well jiza i for one really hated the way things were going with obsid way back when i heard all these changes were going on and what not... but after checkin it out there is a lot of potential for the obsid to be really fun and enjoyable again a lot of things are great but some arent i dunno im pretty happy over all with the server
