I'm finding it really hard to hunt lately because its been made to easy for pkers imo. Its very hard to run from pkers these days. Most pkers are mages, so in one spell I'm dispelled, its pitch black and any walls I've put up are gone. You cant even wall yourself afew times to delay pkers getting in. You cant use gate weapons in dungeons now... Comon its far to easy for a pker these days. No the wonder there is so many pkers around these days.
Whats everyone's opinion? as a PVM and a PKer?

I don't pk anymore but It used to be easy for me as I had a bank with 500 runes in there to everyones house and every hunting spot etc and because I knew where evryone really went it was easy.
But now its even easier as everyone hunts in the same places all the time
|

it was easier in t3a when mass dispel didnt use to dispel ur walls, so we used to just spam dispel field.
also we used to use gate weps in dungeons but no we can't.

Yeah even with the walls the way they were (much better imo when they couldnt all get dispelled) pkers still got you.
Getting weps to drop now is rare... and it being gate travel makes it even more rare.. so even gate weps were ok imo.
I think we atleast need wall back to the way they were in t3a.

I think theres a few things that should be changed back to T3A such as mages(minus there poison) Not that im not greatful for everything staff have done in T4A coz theres been some awesome stuff just think somethings should go back to T3A

pvm mages are the easiest to pk because they cant run...u would need a shrunk ride in ur pack and a quick macro to dispel urself..that way u can ride away warriors have it easy the moment i see a pker I run like hell. Also always use a str pot to run in case ur heavy.. yea its way to easy to know which spots are giving the best loot.. so never hunt alone when pkers are on! Or even when their other chars are on trust me

i think i have done made my opinion on this clear but yea i do think it is to easy to pk... however i cant give a pker perspective because im not one but i can tell by the system its way to easy on them
-reds need to not be allowed it town guards should auto kill on sight (ghost not jail)
-mass dispell needs to be nerfed.. it was meant to target players and npcs.. not objects.. walls are objects.. i find it more of a bug that mas dispell gets rid of an entire wall
-heal spell needs delay
-dispel field and wall pot delay could be balanced to a fair medium.. current 5 sec delay on wall pot.. and 2.5 on dispell field.. so even at this point if mass dispell did not exist it would still be at an advantage
-kills should decay quicker but penalties need to be stricter.. if u are red... the game needs to treat u like a
red.. u don't see litches and skellys walking threw towns.. neither should u see players..
-ice elf wall needs to be looked at also.. its really easy to wall someone since its macroable..
-server status needs to show NO names... only amount of players online.. this will stop ppl from say.. making pots on one char watching the status and see said person hop on game or change char.. then go stalk them in the few places to hunt.. its fairly quick to jump from dungun to dungun.. look for monster bodies.. proceed..
there is more id suggest but im lazy

@adam:
-mage heal spell is just bugged in the last few days.. it was good before.
-ice elf's wall decays fast, and its time depends on the old of the char.
-when u invise/stealth, ur name won't be showen in the server status.
other suggestions, i 100% agree with

yea even if mages can pk its pretty hard to fight as a pvp mage as it is...the only disadvantage is pvm mages which arent built to fight off a pvp mage but 1 vs 1 most warriors should be able to handle themselves and a pker wouldnt go after strong proven warriors alone so if you are getting ganked in dungeons than thats a different story yes its easy to find players as i write this theres 4 pvm mages on right now prolly in a dungeon...maybe shame lvl 2 - 3, maybe hyloth, maybe hedze maze, maybe fighting bloody mary, maybe destard,...doesnt matter cuz it will take me 3 minutes to find out and 2 minutes to gather friends to pk them....thats why i love to suggest new land mass for obsidian i think everyone deserves it. Count's suggestion is the quickest solution dont show names everyone knows each other chars.

I highly doubt a new land area would fix the problem. Either a. the land area sucks no one uses it so pks wont bother hunting players there since players dont bother hunting there or b. land area is bad ass everyone uses it pks now know where people are still. It will add only a minute for them to search additional land.
As it is with the player base small the land size is good.
Just throwing ideas out now these may or may not be changed:
modify spells mass dispel timer or resistance
modify spell dispel
modify nightsight undispelable or needs to be dispelled "x" times before it is truly dispelled
remove name list from server status

the server status would probably be the easiest fix.
besides.. it would swing both ways..
if u were wanting to hunt.. u wouldnt know who was online and know not to..
you could hop on and be like imma go hunt.. and not be able to see server status and it just so happens to be like 15 pkers on or something...
lol
i think its a reasonable fix.. and a good solution... especially since everyone knows everyone
and besides.. actually having to hunt ur prey would make the game not as easy.. but more enjoyable for a pker.. whats the fun in knowing exactly who and where to go?

I really like server status so I think it should stay. I think its the actual pvp in a pk that needs fixing, like what's been mentioned, walls, mass dispel, darkness etc.
