I don't know if there was a topic about this, or if anybody noticed.

But resisting spells seems to be off.

Therefore, you will get raped by NPC and never gain.

ok yes actually theere was 1 or 2 other post saying the same thing,, and everyone seemed to agree but bob...

this post just proves to me that resisting spells IS bugged like the players have been saying.. this whole time... same with parry

all the damage negating skills seem to be Effed up

I've sat and watched people gain resist in combat.
I've watched it cycle through the resist additional code.
So if your complaint is either "A. you're not resisting, or B. you're not gaining" i say "C. you're either unlucky, expecting to gain off shit that does no threat to you(self fire fields come to mind), or are just being overly paranoid".

Go throw yourself into a pit of casters in deceit or haunted hill or at the fire/water shrine. your resist will go up.

And for future reference, posting "Resist is broke" tells me jack all. What part? Is it on humans or npcs. Is it npcs vs humans, or humans vs humans.
Resist is a multi part system, like a lot of stuff, so BE SPECIFIC with your issues, please. Some people are, for example the npcs resist being too high i'm going to check on tonight, but beyond that most people are way too vague.

Well, firstly, there is no message saying whether you have resisted a spell or not. Secondly, I tried to resist many fs's with my GM resist mage... 0% resist... that kindda gave me the hint. Then I asked around as whether anyone resisted anything, they didn't.

There is nothing to debate here: it's broken.

I have noticed that you never get the message about resisting spells and also i have always taken lots of damage from every spell casted on me so either resist just doen't work the same as in T3A or it doesn't work at all. This has been from npc vs human just to clarify, i am unsure about human vs human.

it's human vrs human also belg.

same with parry, npc and human vrs human,

the problem isn't the gains what so ever imo, it's just it doesn't negate any damage, there is no message saying if it's negated or not and there is no spells/strikes that you see hit and you receive no damage,

which leads me to believe what the posts say above......... there broken lmao, you can train them, but it won't do you much good, as you still receive 100% of the damage in all situations with resisting and parrying.

ALSO, just for being specific's sake, you get a message saying you parried something, but you still receive full damage, this was pointed out in several other threads I believe.

thats why I didn't further verify before... and im pretty sure belg would have also..

I actually got a resist gain a few days ago on my warrior when badmoon cast on me a few times. Yes, once or twice there was no message to say if I was resisting or not but then I did also get the "you feel yourself resisting" message a few times too. It was nice to see it gain anyways :)

Well, I haven't seen any of the messages vs. NPC or players. I've been back for over a month and haven't seen a single gain on my warrior. I haven't seen my GM resist mages resist fully 1 spell...

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Resisting fine here, but the message do blend into normal combat spam. Maybe make them colored to see if people are just not noticing them?
Also got a gain earlier.

It's kind of hard to miss the messages when you're testing against a pvp mage.

First off you all freaking fail. It shouldn't take me 4 weeks of messages to get the fact that people are complaining about the complete resists, not the partial resists.

This is why i needed specifics. there are multiple parts to the resist systems.
Turns out the obsidian additional parry/resist was in a fluke. it's fixed now.
Only reason i found it was whlie checking on the parrying stuff.

Yeah! So I talked to staff, he asked me to post this shit... but I guess some of us get all upset and what what what...

So later don't complain about lack of cooperation...

I'm sure if you make the shard scripts available for download we could be much more precise on what's wrong bob...
