i watched someone flamstrike a sheep 4 times and the sheep wasnt even bothered by it. seems like the resist is set a little high on animals and monsters. if someone uses a ton o mana on an fs they should get something for it.

probably just was a coincidence...because ive seen plenty of ppl use animals to train
their magery onto and it went just fine.
could also be that the sheep was glitching and the flamestrike couldnt register a hit
either way i think this was just a minor glitch in the game

I know if an animal is stuck you can cast on it forever and it won't die unless you walk right uo to it. I have seen that happen with mobs too.

that's due to sectors falling asleep, and exists all aroudn the shard for any given npc. Basically if a player hasn't been in an area in a while, the area sleeps and time passes very slowly inside it.

Which is why, for example, animals go wild faster near towns than out in the middle of nowhere. They have more time passing when people walk near them.
