I'm not too sure what that is, but I had to pay my taxes about a month and a half ago. I remember back when I was younger I hated tax time, now I'm a little older, and I have to pay taxes rather then get a check back....now I REALLY hate tax time....although this year was not too bad. I got to claim a few losses, which lowered my bracket a lot.

Anyway....I don't think I would go to a dinner celebrating me having to pay for auto executive bonuses, unless it involved pitchforks and torches...with a map to the houses of the legislatures and executives who got us into this mess. Hopefully thats not too far off, because in my mind, it needs to happen.

Time for forceful redistribution of wealth.

well azi its not so much a dinner celebrating paying taxes... infact i dont think any of them were a dinner... it was more the silent majority of americans voicing out against big government and telling them we arent going to stand for this bullsh** even though cnn, msnbc and other mainstream media said its just a bunch of right wing nuts. its everyone who is pissed off at the bailouts (like myself) and the government not living within our means, even though they expect us to do so "in these tough economic times" it appears that Bush and his 700 billion wasnt durring hard times and Obama's tax hikes on the people in the top 10% that pay 75% (i believe that number is correct to lazy to look. i know it is atleast over 50%.) and people who are also pissed off by having to pay more taxes to "be a good american" (Biden said that) so i mean really everyone who hates loosing money should be pissed and whats really funny is making the same amount in 07 and now having to pay 2500 more i didnt know that Obama had already changed the tax code but i havent been paying as close attention to it as usual...

Well I don't make much money per year, and this is the only year I've ever gotten a tax return that was close to the total of one of my paychecks. Normally, I would end up owing or breaking even. My filing status changed at the end of last year... but that's the only change I can think of.

I agree with you that this government spending mess is way out of hand. In my opinion, I tend to agree with Ron Paul that we should say screw these companies and let them go through bankruptcy like everyone else... and quit putting off an inevitable depression by pumping out money from thin air. Quit letting inflation go through the roof and let's make 1$ be worth something again.

While I don't believe these tax parties are being put on by a bunch of "right wing nuts" (I didn't attend one), I do believe they miss the point a bit. At least in my opinion, if you want some "revolution" people are going to have to quit buying crap from both sides, left AND right. They are all dirty puppets. Until we get away from this rigged 2-party crap nothing will change, the same agendas will be pushed, and things will just get worse. Mothball the whole thing and start all over again from the original constitution... it's reached that point.

But really man, don't be angry with me for wanting this BS to end and not attending one of these parties. I voted for Nader, so I'm not to blame for ANY of this crap. Did I know he would lose miserably? HELL YES I did, but I refuse to vote for any of who the "mainstream" media says are my choices. This country needs MORE CHOICES. More independents.

But you know... I would have voted for Ron Paul had he actually been the Republican candidate, but that SOO wouldn't fly with "them" as he's not part of the agenda. Who else here thinks "they" purposely chose McSame to LOSE against Obama? I certainly do, and makes me want to either stock up on pitchforks or flee to Amsterdam or something.

We're really screwed, Blob man.. I don't think there's much we can do about it. The snowball has rolled down the mountain too long now to be stopped.

i voted for McCain hoping Palin for some reason would have to step in. other wise my number one choice was Huckabee for one of the many reasons he wanted to get rid of the federal income tax dont see why he didnt win the republican nomination...

state of the economy isnt really affecting me tbh, the wood products plant i work at is one of the many companies owned by coca cola, which happens to be the largest company in the united states, and although we make plywood and lumber here, at some of the other plants we make toilet paper, which, despite the economy, seems to still be selling just fine lmao.

we are doing pretty good ourselves thx to shit like bad weather, housing is killing us though, but toilet paper guys are carrying the load lol. man i wished i owned a toilet paper factory.

we doing better than most, also i live in the south, much lower cost of living here, so they of course want us to fill as many orders as possible, since they pay us less.

i have had like i dunno lets see 1 day off in jan like 3 in feb and 2 in march, so far one in f****** april, already said i have to work straight through this weekend, i want to kill them all, but at least im not worried about money atm.
