Alright, first patch of the new cycle is up. Fixes a few longstanding bugs and annoyances, as well as a few balance updates. Most specifically fizzle rates have been adjusted both without and with mytheril armor.

Also veteran rewards have changed, and are now based on how old your account is, not your character. Read the changelog for more information about it.

The crafting patch is getting along. Yes it's way overdue, but as i said, my schedule and freetime are near zilch right now. On the plus side it's getting some things that weren't expected originally and it seems to be working out very nicely. I can't promise anything, but it's probably comming soon.

Normal patches will resume even though the crafting patch is not done, now that i have patch ability back.

So does that mean the char i have had since i started here and the most recent char that i made have the same bonuses? And If I were to delete a char and start a new one he would have the same bonuses too? I think that is awesome.

Yes, that is what it means. We no longer penalize people directly for restarting their age-old characters.
That being said that does not mean that other age-related systems in-game are gonig away, so there are still some benefits, and some detriments, to having an older character.

now im confused i thought that the only age benefits were for young players... and since its based off of acount age now one of the benefits to keeping your 109 yr old char is now kinda eliminated.... what are some of them for holding onto a char? other than having trained your char and what not...

no retraining, is good enough for me lolz
and u get to (maybe) have a hue to your skin like green or something if you happened to be elf
or um, on the age bored if u happen to be the oldest,

Basically what it means impe is you have the option of keeping an old char or remaking one that you know you could build better but didnt want to delete because you would lose your vet points.

yeah i understand that you will have the benefit of getting the skill boost on a new char but other than having a trained char and as chips pointed out having my name on the board what else is there?

there is also the benefit of being a cool cat which has always been my personal fave. its the only reason i play and what i always strive for most.

oh and laughing at pple who get all upset irl when their little guy dies. man that is the most fun ever.
