This is in regards to a fish sale post in buying and selling by Chips. I didn't want to bring it off track again so started a new spot here.
It was argued that fish were too expensive if sold at 8.5k now. The logic being that all gold was wiped. I would like to present what I will call a counter-logic to the aforementioned logic.

1-Fishing is boring and very annoying to GM---more so now that you can't fish at feet
2-Stat fish are permanent enhancements and should be treated as such.
3-The fisherman could not keep up with demand and would have no time for other ventures
4-Fishing is boring
5-Hunting gold is not as hard as some people would lead us to believe
6-Fisherman's gold was deleted too and they would like to regain some wealth
7-Fishing is boring
8 It would be very easy for everyone to fully build the stats of a char too quickly at 2k a str fish etc
9-If you don't want to buy the fish, either train fishing and cooking or be the genius that can make an 100 str 100 int and 80 dex character work vs another with full stats equal in skills.
10-If fishers did get together and set a price on fish at 50k each, you would be scrambling for that guy that doesn't play along that is selling it for 10-20k

How about just putting fishing back the way it was because their was nothing wrong with it? Just another example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I'm assuming that's referencing the fishing under feet, because otherwise it's completely offtopic.
That being said, go write a huge PM to broadband. That was one of the things he wanted done, and so only way you'll get it back is convincing him. :/

As for fishing being boring, you didn't hear this from me but expect a less... boring alternative here in the future. Should be with the huge crafting patch that's slated (mining getting less boring too, as is lumberjacking). That being said if ya got ideas for how to do so, post em! Ideas are good!

TBH i have absolutely no idea how you would make them less boring, I'm not even sure that it is possible. Unless maybe you get all your ore/fish/whatever in one movement. Oher than that anything else would be completely repetitive and i don't know a way to combat that.

As far as fishing at your feet I really have no arguement for that other than it makes it easier, both to train and to gain resources. Yes it is also easier to AFK macro it but i have always believed the rule breakers should be punished not everyone else because someone broke the rules.

maybe is a little out of the way but why not make it so that by saying to make it less boring to actually fish up something thats other then fish for example a letter cq note that has some value or in any other way has an objective in it for instance a quest i know ittl be alot of work but it makes worth fishing alittle bit more fun and less boring too or you hook something up like some monster or something wich drops something like put it as rare for gm fishers .... im just shouting out loud but honestly you can make it alot more fun then it is now also fishing at different spots you catch diff items or fish clothing fishing up rare items that dwell underneath the sea items you get only by fishing stufdf like that so in order to make fishing worth something too then except for status fish and fff

I do have a suggestion.

Perhaps a few new items can be made:

Fishing you could find an expert sewing kit/needle.
PvM you could find rare cloth on uber-mages in the recesses of a dangerous dungeon.
Mining you could find Fibrous Ore.
Tinker could craft the fibrous ore into rare thread.
A Gm carpenter would be able to make the one time-use loom called Master's Loom.
And a GM alchemist could make enchant dyes that are super hard to make ...1/100 chances at best.

Now..........
Sewing kit + Rare cloth + Fibrous Ore/Thread + Master's loom + Enchant Dye = Rare Clothing Item

Say your fishing along as every other boring day, but all of the sudden the line is tugging hard than usual, you pull up and fish and think of nothing, THEN IT MUTATES, and it turns into a new custom monster, it kills you takes all your fish spits on you then cuts your body and takes your head. Then turns around and kills any mount that you may have been riding, then kills himself with a custom gun and everything that the monster looted is removed (except for the head, it is then named (Fisher's name here) Got Pwned and is placed on the spot where he died permenatley. Then the monster comes back once more when you get ressed, kills you and pisses on your body, your body turns yellow and starts to decompose, you get a nasty virus and each and everytime you are ressed you have 5 seconds to find a cure, then when the time is up the monster comes back and kills you once again spitting AND pissing on your body then burning it to ashes and then pissing on it once again and laughing (then he dies...but comes back everytime you res yourself).
