good luck with this discussion.

I argued with broadband for around 2 hours about how storage/lockdowns was gonna work.

I was able to talk him into doing around 3x the secures he originally wanted, and 2-4x the lockdowns, depending on the house.

I couldn't talk him into just not doing a limit.

The rationale:

If you need more secure stuff, buy a bigger house.
90% of things people "hoarde" doesn't need to be "secure", so it can just be mostly secure by putting it in a bag and hiding that bag somewhere, like behind furniture or in a locked room no one else can get to.

But yeah keep the discussion up if ya want, i can't change it though so you gotta convince BB

so things like fff that in bulk are worth um tons but can't be locked down because people have tons.....that makes no sense and seems very biased to certain trades. mainly NOT crafters i can't really think of a crafting skill that doesn't need you to hoard materials. I for one would never trust my crafting materials in an unsecured chest. maybe if i could make my house private I would but at this moment in time crafters need to be able to feel secure in their materials being safe. the only viable option i can see is over capping my bank box. I have been killed while in a mine for ONE haul of ore it take a dozen or more hauls to make valorite if someone is willing to kill for simply one haul i think they will be willing to wait on my doorstep to kill me and gain entry to my house and all the nice crafting goodies that are contained there. no thanks, not for me...

then, I would highly suggest you make sure people can't open chests through walls, underneath, or ontop of the chests. because it would really suck having your stuff locked inside 1 room and they can just use last object while ontop of the 2nd floor with the cehst below them looting away.

Could get a bigger house to store all the stuff in? Or you can put a few insecure chests at the back and surround them with locked down rocks - that way you only access the chests when you're safe in your house with the door shut. I do that on my big house and it works wonders.

that is so stupid in all but....... good idea duck. but i really dont see the reason of having a item limit on a chest in the first place. specially now that its so hard to save up or a bigger house, i understand as u move up in riches and items bb wanted u to get a better house as u progress but still its an aspect that isn't needed at all

taxes also will suck for noobs because there is no way to make it fairly OK for vets, and not overly hard for noobs or vise versa

i thought about surrounding my chests with stuff to make it un accessible but in my time here ive seen some pretty odd flukes like people even being able to get inside locked chests. im just saying it should at least be at what it was before.
