When broadband gets around to it, there will probably be a multi-day rollback, to fix a lot of the house issues people have been having recently, most due to their own inability to read the disclaimer.

I would like to re-iterate what i said originally. Packhouse is NOT a LONG TERM solution. People who packed up months ago when warned NOT TO are getting errors now, and it's to be expected, and there is nothing staff can do for the most part. This is the punishment you all get for not reading the disclaimers.

That being said, here is what you can do to help mitigate that problem.

If you have a currently packed house, do the following:

Do NOT REPLACE your house yet.
Do NOT REPLACE your house yet.
Do NOT REPLACE your house yet.
I hope i am clear that you need the ORIGINAL HOUSE to still be there
.
Unpack into the house you orignally packed from.
Make sure everything is there, if everything is NOT there, page staff with the character name who packed, and the house .where.
Do NOTHING ELSE with that character regarding packhouse or houses until staff fix your page.

Now if everything does get placed correctly, pack it up again, remove the house, replace the house, place your packed items.
The less time items stay packed, the better.

IF you do NOT do these steps, staff are NOT responsible for items lost, and will not, and cannot, be guaranteed to be able to restore your stuff if things go wrong.

Thanks for your time.

Ok. I packed my house the first day housing was open for business. I also demolished the houses in return for the deeds. I am now under the assumption that there will be a rollback soon and that I should not worry about any of this until such a rollback takes place. Is this correct? As it is I have multiple deeds and packed houses.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah but people were told NOT to pack house untill houses were sorted, people were also told houses would NOT decay as bob himself said he would put another month taxes on if bb hadnt sorted them by the time houses were due to decay.
I dont know why people couldnt leave things untill they were told houses were working and it was ok to .packhouse and demolish.
I had about 9-10 houses to pack and move and i didnt touch them untill this week when staff said houses were OK. Only time i did touch them was when staff asked me to test for them when they were working on them.

Well my main problem has been replacing the stuff in the house, one of mine and 2 of Scott's had half the items (If that) in the houses' once they had been unpacked and they were all packed after it was announced it was ok to do so.

i cant replace my house in the same spot cause the house is offset to the right from the cursor so when i click my cursor is on a different house and my house image is way off to the right.

This is mostly due to the fact that a lot of the people who are paging are people who packed up when the command was first available or shortly after as a method of long-term storage, and have had their houses sitting packed.

It wasn't you barney. In fact if i ever have an issue with only one or two players, i'll usually talk to them specifically. And rarely will we roll back more than an hour or few on account of only one or two people.

I try to be direct and courteous, if i have an issue with a player or something someone's done, i'll try talking to them first. I also hope that players will do the same courtesy to me. :)

That being said some of these houses may be unrecoverable, we'll see how things go after the rollback.

No barney your quite wrong, he could be trolling the forums looking for something to bitch about, then head to the local playground to beat up some 10 year olds.
