If weapons's speed and damage were changed as old system, which I think is Ok. Then I would suggest to change Anatomy and Weapon's bonuses(ruin, force, power, vang) to old system as well, which added damage to your hits. I don't really like Anatomy and Weapons bonuses adding speed to weapons instead. I think it is more realistic to have weapons that have more power as how they used to be.

and Yes I know by having two players fighting with the same weapons(lets say a battle axe) and one of them it's faster than the other, of course the fastest one will add up more damage at the end of the fight, but I dont really like that, maybe most of you guys agree with me. I would not feel motivated to go hunt for weapons any more, ohh and I don't know if weapons are keeping the magic bonuses are they? because thats what makes Obsidian weapons so unique from the rest of the shards I have played so far.
The only rare items(if we can call them like that) Obsidian has that would motivate most of the players to go hunt are weapons really. The fact that they can be ided and they can turn blue, red, green, etc motivates me to hunt as well as so many other players.
Just giving my ideas one of the unique features obsidian has

correct me if i'm wrong, but anatomy and tactics do add to damage. and so does the magic weapon bonus.

The only reason magic weapons swing faster right now is because the server needs a reboot, and bb hasn't been around due to an unexpected emergency calling him to work not only on his weekend off but keeping him busy all week.

And as i said in an earlier post, anatomy and magic bonuses now deal damage based on the swing speed, so a vanq kryss gets a smaller damage increase than a vanq halberd, but it works out to about the same average damage increase over time. :)

Also for those who haven't noticed, dex > 100 affects weapon speed now, so 120 dex will swing faster htan 100 dex.

But you also have 20 less str, which also affects damage, so it's a relatively balanced system.

i just don't like that monster npcs can defeat us in groups if we are gmed so that should be balanced but i like the speed of the weapons depending on dex...

So weapon bonuses like vang, power, etc won't add to damage still like old system? Thanks for the info about the weapons, sounds good to me tho. Except I liked that weapon bonus, which I'm not sure if is still out there.

they add damage, they just don't add the same damage to every hit.
In the old system, a +9 weapon adds 9 damage to every hit.
In the new system, a +9 weapon adds X damage.
X is bigger for slow weapons, and faster for small weapons
For example, if a +9 weapon added 5 damage to a scimitar swing, then it would add 10 damage to a weapon that takes 2x longer to swing than a scimiar.
I just made those numbers as an example, but you should get the idea.
