The VLC player he mentioned is a media player. It's open-source, bare-bones, and plays damn near anything I throw at it.

yea VLC is the best media player there is! Alltho its interface is the downside, maybe a skin could fix it i never bothered as i only play videos in it.

For music ive always been a sucker for Winamp. ^^ Its not the defintion of a free program as its not opensource (i think?) but you can use for free but skip out on some function. But who cares aslong as you can sort music and play it :)

winamp got 3 different mainlooks, with about endless skins with every mainlook. I still prefer Modern look before the newest one

Spacemonger 1.4, create a visual map of your harddrive, rly easy to find and remove things not needed with this small program.

Bittorent Client
µtorrent, a bittorent program. Imo the best way to download.. this program is one of the tiniest bittorent apps aswell. in size as in usage or ram. good if you got a slow computer
http://www.utorrent.com/

HDD Utility
Ez-pc-fix, utility to clean your harddriver. For example temp files and cache files. Easy to use and helps alot
http://www.ezpcfix.net/html/download.htm

FTP Client
Filezilla, free FTP client. very well made aswell. nice gui & functions
http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client

Im looking for a photoprogram aswell!! if anyone know a picture/photo program that can put a "sig" on several pictures at same time and not by going thru pictures yourself 1by1. Please share if you know ^^
