well I can't login
tried restarting and I can see by the server status that the server is obviously up. yet I can't seem to connect to it. my brother has tried as well and I have tried signing on to other accounts. and still cant connect.

What do you mean it doesn't log in..? Do you ping the server in the patcher? Does it just time out on connecting or what? |

If you get a ping open C:\Games\Obsidian and delite Desktop folder it wont harm anything. |

The problem is you have to be naked with a webcam running and PM me the link to the cam feed. Then try to log on. That should help! If that doesn't help you could make sure OBS wasn't blocked somehow with your firewall. Not real sure what it could be. You didn't give much info! Like how far you get and what happens when you get there! |

Emo you f***** over any chance at web cam access a week or so ago  Xkill Ill gladly foward you the link  and like I said I get just as far as anyone can get when the server is down. i get the failure to ping msg and try to connect anyways sign in yada yada then couldn't connect to.... my brother has tried and can't sign in ethier a shiney is anything that you would place value on "ooooo shiney..."  nm something I do often irl.  and thank you bob for insulting my intelligence

But Bobby_1 is right about deleting the Desktop folder and make sure your transerv fold is deleted too.(dunno if that wil help but it won't hurt) I dunno, sounds like you have something on your pc that is blocking OBS/patcher from the internet try turning you anti-virus and firewall off and see if you can connect. IMO "This looks like a job for SuperRegiss" Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. |

well then I apoligize bob thank you for trying to help. firewall isn't the problem I haven't changed any settings since the last time I connected, tried turning it off anyways and it didn't help. deleted Transerv and it didn't help, dont have a desktop folder just reinstalled obs. could this be a dial up issue? i dont wanna wait a week and a half to play again.

Ping obsidianshard.com and see if the ip address it shows looks like 70.*.*.* (Start > Run > "cmd" > "ping obsidianshard.com") If that's the case you'll need to bug your ISP (most likely) for them to refresh their DNS servers. Alternatively could use other ones, but if you're not sure about how/what best would be just wait. If it's not that, then it must be your router/firewall. Check for port blocks, bring down security for a while.. Can't help more this way. |
