yea we dont read letter we recognise whole words only. its rly interesting how our brains interprets things. ive been studying this on gameplay, how the brain responds by different types of games for instance. Like when we play a fsp game with shooting in it, like quake. The brain responds with producing same kind of chemicals as if it were for real, the body gets the same kinds of adrenalin kick like irl. So if you wanna sleep good, dont play video games in the nearest hour(s) before bed. it will greatly reduce sleep quality. edit: no btw.. this does not affect all the same. i remember when 2 classmates played Quake3 against each other. With them attached to heart rate monitors, the first one got a very stressed heart rate, while the 2nd one had actually a calmer heart rate than usualy... anyway.. off to work |

because we were told before hand that spelling doesn't matter so our brains were already programed to disreguard spelling. meh it was disproved a couple years ago...the news even reported on it. If you sent that letter to your grandma who doesn't use the internet to chat with her friends do you think she would be able to read it just fine? we as gamers are used to "decodeing" typos so our brains do it automatically, whereas someone who doesn't stare at a computer all day is not. therefor the study is inconclusive because it doesn't work in all cases. |
