There are only 2 American Flags and I believe 70ish Iraqi flags. These Numbers do not include 9/11 and they do include car bombings.

Who was attacking you? It looks like it was rather peaceful? or wasn't it?

The problem is that too many people were brainwashed into the terrorist scare so they don't really care who dies as long as it isn't them. It's really only creating more cowards.

Actually you see the guy and the girl up in the corner of the first picture? while I was taking these pictures they were most of the time having a "heated debate" yeah hes to liberal to see the other side (conservatives) and she was to christian to believe that the Iraqi people have souls. I though I was gonna have to keep him from smacking some sense into her :(

It's going to be amusing when all of this(life/exsistance) is said and done and we find out what the true god is/isn't. Talk about smacking someone around.

the funny (not) thing is that in the end the reason for u.s being there.. is of course the oil.. all this talk about "we are there to save the day" to "straighten things up politicly" etc.. is just a load of bs!!! and i just get so angry thinking of this... it was a huge misstake getting down there in the first place.

On one of the posters it states 654, 000 iraqi civilian deaths. these figures I think are very misleading as most of the deaths will be due to Iraqi on iraqi fighting and not American on iraqi as some may believe.

650,000 is a huge number and I would imagine some cheeky natural causes deatsh were added on too bolster the figures.

I know Bruiser the numbers are skewed quiet a bit. They didn't include the 9/11 attack and they include attacks such as car bombs and other "insurgent" attacks on civilians. However the point brought up as a counter point to this arguement was even if america is not directly responsiable for each and everyone of those deaths we certainly need to hold ourselves accountable for them. Since supposedly the bombings would stop if we pulled out. *shrugs* I don't have control over the president of te group any longer so meh hes a stubborn A** This is how he wanted it and that how he got it. Point of all this: the numbers might be skewed but the message isn't.

Well the bombings wont stop at this point just because we leave. We should have had more troops. We should have protected the oil lines better. We shouldnt have let everyone who wanted to loot HUGE caches of weapons which we left unguarded after the war. And we shouldnt have disbanded the only force structure with any power in that country which was the army, sending thousands upon thousands of trained iraqi soldiers out into a country with no jobs...

That country before was at least relatively peaceful though a dictatorship before we arrived, and since weve been there the whole country has turned against us and blames us for all these deaths. This means whether some americans feel responsible or not someone may be coming 10 years down the line who blows up an american coffeeshop and his reason? "America destroyed my country and killed my family in iraq for george bush/dick cheneys' egos". And we in america will have a very hard time defending ourselves at that point..

I mean.. people who wanted him gone even wish saddam was back now.
How ridiculous was this war..

The people of Iraq understand dictatorships thats how their society has been structured forever as far as I know. The head of the largest family in the community is the leader, Sadam was the head of the largest family, so he ruled. Democracy sounds good to them but they (for the most part) don't understand it. Its WAY to big of a change for their nation. Baby steps is the way to go.

Please correct me if I am wrong, all the information I have is from my background in Anthropology and I'm not sure how "Americanized" it is
