tell me guys why there is so few people on this shard? 2-3 years ago there was over 100 people logged on, and now...?10?20? what the hell happened to this shard? i like obsi very much and i will be here always..but..its so empty.. today i have played on some others shards(just was curious) and there was like lol 500-800 people on! i know that is way too much, but if we could have atleast 100 people here...wouldnt was that great? Another thing is that on those shards people are fuking lames...why? ill just say that ive gained like 10% mining skill in hmmm 5minutes....lame...
Anyway we should do something about it to bring more people here....

It's in the works at the moment. BB is working on a patch. We had hard time keeping numbers up (I think) because in the past we have had a lack of active admins willing to repair things that were broken. Things were removed from the game rather then fixed, and with all the competition for UO shards, it's easy for a player to loose interest if his/her favorite thing is removed from the game with no replacement forthcoming.

Hopefully some of these things will be fixed in the next few weeks.

yeh the thing is that i am so used to obsidian that i cant play on other shards(strange features and im like:'' hmm whats that..nah it sux...weird...theres better on obsi...'' :) )
but i don't think it's bad...i like this shard and i won't ever leave it :)

Once this patch is released it would be great for us to go on a massive recruitment drive again! We could open torrents, get everyone to vote non stop, and tell as many people as we can.

It would be great to see things building again!

Torrents work great, but this time we need it organized, not everyone and their brother opening up torrents, cause that caused a lot of problems, corrupt trackers, partial downloads, slow speeds, etc etc.

It'd be nice if Broadband himself would do the promo stuff, and get more torrents back up..

I was blessed to be here before the "Suprnova wave" of noobs we got, so I was able to enjoy that, this shard is amazing with only 20 people, but with 100, it's truely the greatest UO shard.

I second that, it's really not that bad, you just can't FULLY AFK IT anymore..

You can still semi-afk, just drop your ores into a bag on the ground every few mins.. stop all the crying, im at nearly 70 mining from 30..

i never afked mining, my beef with the system is that i loved when the ores dropped, cause i could see my path and make sure i get every tile in the mine, now i get lost having to box up my ores, and what not. U can make em drop if u box up a ton of ores, then mine and pic up your box before u get the ore and it drops but that gets to annoying. and ashes u raised mining from 30 to 70, but i am sure alot of that came from bought/donated ores.

only bough 2k ores, which took me from 62-65, rest was my own!
