I think its strange that some people care more about peoples death than they care about their life.

With this I dont mean that its bad to be sad about someones death. Its just that some people get very compassionate and caring about someone dead, instead of being compassionate and caring about someone alive.

Yeah, it really is a strange human trait. I think it has very much related with taking things for granted, and not realising what you've got until it's gone.

I don't know about other religions/philosophies, but Jesus tried to teach people to care for each other in life, and that death was something to be celebrated, not feared or regretted. (disclaimer: I'm not religious.)

I'm not sure how it works in the animal kingdom, but I never really hear about animals mourning their dead. Maybe it's true that we were created to live forever, and we mourn because thats something we've lost, (or haven't yet achieved.)

hmmm it all depends really. You see i loved my rum and would spend every available opportuntiy with it. meeting it in pubs and bars, taking it to the park and sometimes sneeking into work with it. I introduced it to my friends who liked rum too and everythig was great, a perfect relationship.....but then the doc put her foot down being all authorative and said "NO MORE BOOZIN EGG" and now I've been thrown into an empty tasteless world where I miss it greatly and am in a deep state of mourning, pining everytime I raise a vile cup of fruit juice to my rum void lips. You see I loved and respected rum and new exactly what I had and now its gone.
