I recently recieved some bad news regarding an old friend of mine who I used to hang out with like almost every day. A big group of us used to chill, play guitar, listen to music, smoke lots of weed, take the odd shrooms etc. My friend Taz used to be one of the gang. He was always a lively, funny guy, with a love of kung fu movies, special forces stuff etc, and all things Xbox. He loved to play guitar, get stoned and play games all day - sounds like an ordinary guy, right? Well, not long after I moved from my home town (about 18 months ago) I heard he started getting a bit distant from the group. He got into pills and LSD and stuff and gradually began to lose his grip on reality. He had always had problems at home (broken home, rarely saw his mom etc) so he used to live with his aunt and uncle. About 6 months ago, his mom was found murdered in an alleyway near his home. Taz was the prime suspect and has been staying in a mental facility. I've just learned that Taz has been formally charged with Murder, and faces the possibility of life in prison. It turns out that his girlfriend at the time (stupid, stupid little b*tch) bought him a pair of LIVE samurai swords for christmas. Would YOU buy someone with mental problems, known heavy drug use and a martial arts fixation a deadly weapon? Not to mention that she was only 17 (which meant that some fool supplied a minor with a deadly weapon). This was the murder weapon used to kill his own mother. I remember Taz as a great guy, and I never would have dreampt him capable of anything like this. I firmly believe that the 'Taz' that has done this is like a different person. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is apparently only now beginning to get flashbacks of what took place that night. Anyway, I just wanted to share this because my thoughts are with him right now. I am hoping that they accept the insanity plea as put forward by the police and the home office so that he can serve his custodial sentence in a psychological centre. Prison I am sure would destroy what little of him there is left, he is not a big guy he is just an ordinary bloke but he is deeply disturbed. I haven't seen him in 18months but he was a good friend of mine. Later. |

Smoking weed is extremely common. Shrooms maybe not quite as common, but I wouldn't say eating a something that comes from the earth occasionally was abnormal. Thass also listed a number other things. I don't know many people who play the guitar! OMG HE'S NOT NORMAL. It's not a very nice story though Thass. I hope his insanity plea is accepted; I can understand at least part of his plight, and he needs help, not punishment. |

Killing anyone in bad but to kill your own mother is beyond belief. I have no sympathy for the guy mental or not, He should rot in hell imo,and to say "That's all just unfortunate" is fooking crazy. He killed his mother ffs, would anyone here say give him a light punishment if he killed there mother. |

that dude played on obs right? if hes really crazy then i hope they work with him and shit.. and dont jump on terek.. smoking tons of weed is not common at all.. he could use all those brain cells now. well anyways pretty sad story.. if hes crazy hes prolly only gona get worst now that he killed his mother. |

He had a really bad life, his mom treated him like shit and used to hit him which is why they didn't live together. They are trying to figure out if his mom provoked it. But as for him 'rotting'. He isnt EVIL, he was my good friend. He is just very, very ill. He needs help not prison. I don't think he is even aware he has killed his mom, he is still delusional. |

honestly... I think he just lost grip of reality, and I do think he deserves some punishment for putting himself on this road, for like pills and LCD and crap, weed to me is fine though, but anything past is insane... But for killing his mother, I hope they accept insanity... He needs help at this stage, he got him self to far into drugs, and to far out of reality... |

Thassius, I think you are a true and good friend. Perhaps you will be able to add some insight into your friends case. Hard core drugs can really change people, and is likely what pushed your friend over the edge. I hope he has an opportunity to get some help, sounds like alot of issues need to be worked out. Honestly man... you need to understand, drugs do weird things to people... Crystal meth will make you think theirs bugs under your skin, like isnt that warped? Other drugs will do other things... LCD can really f***** you up, I know a guy who was on it, shaved all the skin off his finger withoug feeling a thing... Drugs f*** with your brain... I mean it's his fualt for starting on drugs, but killing his mother was just... he was out of reality man, just you need to understand that... I bet if he knew he would kill before he started drugs, espesaily his own mother, I bet he wouldn't have touched the sh*t... Show some sympothy man... Thass, try to get what has been posted in here out in the open, like the court and crap so that they can see what some people think... I mean if they understand what were saying, he might get away with insanity and spend a few years in theorapy... I mean, he does need that... but he doesn't need to be punished for not even being able to understand what he was doing, drugs do some crazy sh*t to people man... |

I'm with Xkill on this 1, The guy took the drugs, no 1 pushed them down his throat, The only sympathy I have is for his mother. |
