| Post subject: | Getting 2 acct's on 1 ip... |
Me and my bro just got into UO again...saw this didnt want to pay the monthly fee...anyways, looks great...but in the getting started part...it asked for us to post to get help with setting up 2 acct's on 1 ip address. Was just wondering what we have to do for that to happen. |

Private Message Broadband, or CyberVic telling them that you have 2 people wanting to play from the same IP and need another account registered to that IP. They generally have no problems doing this, it may just take awhile. Worst comes to worst, go register for an account on another IP, (ex. school library, friends house, etc) |

try asking for help in the irc channel as well. obsidian is sort of a nuisance to get set up, but its worth it. best free shard out there and totally original. not a cookie cutter like all the others. good luck and hope to see you in game soon. |

As Ashes suggested register the second account using a different PC (and thus a different IP address). As long as you are not sharing accounts (one account per individual) then I cannot see that this is a problem. Whilst difficult to police (you would both be playing from the same IP despite the different accounts) you would be one of many households that have two or more family members playing the game. We would certainly not want to exclude a player just because they were from the same household, this isn't a free trial of tampax. |
