How do you become specific races?

cant anymore, and that means noobs get the shaft and vets get more skill points and abilities at their disposal. sucks dont it, get used to it

Shake it off. Races ARE intended to return.. just probably not THIS instant.

i was dissapointed when it didnt come out in the patch...
or reg gardens...
or necromancy...

so "when" races return all the people whom had to go human for everything will have transfers to the race of their choice correct

I doubt they will be and the more people that want to have thier human chars changed to Vamps the more I think BB will decide not to bring them back, just my opinion

that would be just wrong. half of the good part of obsidian is how diverse you can be. other shards everyone is exactly the same. to get rid of races would really make obsidian a bit boring for new players.

I want them back as badly as anyone else Night, but I can see BB getting pissed off from people going on about them and I just dont wanna lose em for good

Higher staff will make these decisions if races are reintroduced.

Until then, I recommend making the best character you can...

They are not gone for good. Races will return, and I would bet that when they do, they will have some nice new abilities.

When races do return, I would not expect BB to allow his GMs to go changing humans to vamps. Remember the fiasco from Necros to mages? Not good. Anyone who wants a vamp is most likely only a few months old at the most. I can't imagine that a new player would have a full account of indispensable characters that soon. This is assuming that BB puts races back in fairly quickly. The longer he waits, the harder it will be for a newbie to start a new character, and the louder people will be hollering for race changes.

i agree with nightmare, i want to see races, obs has diverse races making it way diff then other shards and seeing how obs skill gain is all around pretty slow, why would someone even try making human warrior, when he can never have the amount of skills/attributes at his disposal, that others have. would be good to hear from higher staff on some of these issues, like yes no maybe working on it then the same old rigamoral
