new here. i downloaded obsidian from a torrent site, and then i get to the page and read the news, lol. so i tried to install it anyways, and it brings up an error. so i'm downloading from this site now and hopefully everything goes alrite, i'll let you know. also, i do own UO, but do i need to install it for obsidian to werk? i still have a legit key and everything so it's no big deal, just wondering. |

welcome. you only need the obsidian installer. but you also need the latest .net installed for the patcher to work. keep posting we will help you get it sorted out. good luck and hope to see you in game soon. |

Yeah, basically what they said. If there's a problem with the BitTorrent download, we should probably get that sorted out. If you still have problems after you download from the site, and make an account. Let us know, we're more than willing to help. |

well, it stopped at 65% and won't reconnect so i dunno, i suppose i'll try again, i really should upgrade my DSL i hate waiting. it's like a 3 hour DL. anyways, imma install getright maybe then i'll be able to resume next time. if any of you know a good torrent for this somewhere, fill me in. anyways, thanks for all the help. i can't wait to play this game again, it's been years. |

It's most likely because BB asked us to only seed his, and not various other ones. So all the seeds are on BB's torrents, not the old ones we put up. |

Hes talking about the webpage download stopping at 60% or whatever. he had already completed the torrent and he tried to install and it gave en error. so im wondering if its just him, or which torrent gave the error. but my torrent has 13 seeds and 29 leechers atm.. and i dont believe it to be my torrent he got anyway since i didnt up it till 4am last night. |

It's not a torrent that’s the problem, and this thread really has nothing to do with how many lechers and seeders you have.....You should be seeding BBs torrent anyway. Back to the issue at hand...... You don’t need a key to install Obsidian, the self installer has everything you need to install the game. You might want to install .net framework (the game comes with it, but you might have another program that is conflicting or something). Here’s the link to download and install .net framework: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en If this does not fix your problem, let me know, and please post the exact error message you get, along with your system specs (system is probably not an issue, but it's still a good idea) We WILL get you sorted out and in the game ASAP. I hope Hiroshi does not mind that I moved this thread to the Help and support forums, it seamed more appropriate here. |

Dont tell me what i should be seeding. Did you notice BB deleted that post that said to only seed his torrent? Thats cause its actally a good thing that it gets distributed at diff times to diff trackers.... Ill seed my own torrent thx. Especially since BBs is already well seeded.. I didnt even say for anyone to help seed mine so i dont get what your saying any of that for Eros. I actually said in one of the 2 torrent threads that i had already upped my torrent by the time BB posted his message and had 20 leechers already that i couldnt just cut off. and i told people Not To Help Seed My Torrent! and the only reason i put how many seeds leeches i have is because ashes thought the prob was people not seeding the torrents(s). Just tryin to help clear things up... |
