Hey
Long time no see.

Some days i feel like login in to obsidian again, but for the last 2 months i have had a problem.
Im using Norman Anti virus.
And Norman thinks that the Obsidian files a trojan horses, so it puts it in quratine (Spelling??) And i get an error msg instead when trying to update the 305.exe.

So how do i solve that, i got no idea how norman works. So i dunno how to get them out of quratine and make norman ignore the obsidian files.
A small guide from a cunning person would be great.

Thank you and i might see you online someday soon again.

Sonne, first of all, awesome to see ya posting again!!!

Secondly, do you mean Norton anti-virus? If you get open it up, go into your settings and f*** around, there's a good chance you'll be able to figure it out. (I can't think of how to do it off the top of my head, but I used to have norton and ran into a similiar problem)

Here's a screen from my Norton settings. I know it's in norwegian, but i think it should be possible to extract some useful information. From Norton settings you can tell the program to skip your obsidian catalogue and those programs there.

No. I got Norman and not norton.

And theres a small problem with choosing only one foder which shouldn't be included since the installer is spreading files to other places on your computer to.
For example the windows folder :?

Guess ill just have to mess around more or uninstall this. (Virus program)

Boon, thank you for your picture anyway.
belive it or not but i do understand norwegian :P

Bah Emo, i still havent programmed the installer
And neither am i a very smart person when it comes to computers. :D

OK Sonne Ill give it a try: Pictures in norwegian though, but close to swedish enough so youll figure it out :P

1: Right click on your Norman icon in the system tray
choose what ive done here

Image

2:press next button highlighted here

Image

you should now see your quarantined item, right click it and choose to delete it

3: The easiest thing now is to stop norman while the patcher is updating
like this:

When its done you could log right in and play, but if you want to have the virus control running, close down the login window. Start Norman again.

4 Now put needed files on excemption list, like this:

this window should appear:

Press add, and choose your obsidian folder
press add again and type C:\WINDOWS\obsidian.exe

save and you should be set go.

hope it works
