You’re just seeing the surface of the game if you "confirmed" that US football is all about brute force. Look deeper. Look at the formations and the positions each player plays. Look and see what they are trying to do...watch downfield for the effect of a Guard demolishing a Defensive End at the line of scrimmage. See what adjustments a quarterback is forced to make if a defensive end steamrolls the Guard or a running back gets tripped up by the cornerback...watch to see if the referee caught the trip... This game is much more then brute force...It's more like PvP....attacks and counter attacks, outsmarting your opponent, precision timing, turning a good move into the nail that closed the coffin... I'm sure Soccer is the same way. I just don’t follow it very much. |

im sorry to say drizzt but hockey players are alot more physically fit that football players.... when football players start spring training thats when most of the great players start practicing.... plus hockey seasons run alot longer than football so if someone gets totally f***** up in the stanley cup finals chances are they will not play the first few months of the next season and quiet possibly almost none of it at all.... also in a marathon id take any hockey player even the goalie since they have to have mad endurance and agility to move and get into position.... before the other team is like f*** YOU and scores.... football does take alot more endurance than youd think.... its hard work pushing linemen around... i was a nose guard and a fullback for my highschool team in the short time i was able to play for them.... its kind of like a game of chess to as someone pointed out.... always have to be thinking and looking for an opening to totally demoralize them.... also it might have been a topic about soccer and yes i realized that.... but me being the ignorant american i am i decided to say what i said.... also europe does have american football.... its played durring the NFL's off season.... 3rd and 4th strings for americans play over there.... -Impe |

That chess analogy is pretty fitting, yes yes it is. And about the NFL Europe. Your so right, they were all just rejects from America. But in saying that there were some awesome players. The quality of the game is so high in america even the 4th team of a club would be kick ass. What rizzt said earlier about America probably owning at Soccer, I think I agreee. America has the facilities, the money, the sponsorship deals, the sports in scholl programs, the population, the infrastructure to be good at any sport they try. Already the woman's team have won the world cup. And with male players like Claudio Reyna, I'm sure the US will kick ass soon. |

yeah all they gotta do is start paying soccer players better and the good athletes will come. till then all a soccer player is good for in america is being a kicker for the nfl. thats a dream come true for a soccer player. hockey is the shit up north impe but its totally ignored down here. i guess cause we dont got much ice heh. nfl is the shit everywhere cause you can play in any weather. tom glavine played pro hockey, hes a weenie, the only weenies i see on the field in the nfl are kickers (prolly ex soccer players) hockey and soccer are both pretty cool to watch i guess. i gave soccer a chance and i admit it is pretty cool looking after all and im glad i found a new sport to watch. but man an nfl game is like an explosion all over the world when it happens. theres nothing like the nfl. its pure adrenaline balls out shiznit. |

football sucks its shit its what everyone talks about what about motorbikes they are better than football nfl sorry but i think it sucks yanks know nothing of football,even though i hate most sport except motorbike racing the MotoGP, World SuperBikes and even formula 1 miles better and all you ppl arguing what sport is fitter than the other, do any of you actually play any of these sports, i race motorbikes |

I actually played most these sports almost my whole life which makes watching it even much more fun.... The only sport I play now is basketball though.. can't have any more sore muscles. |
