Yeah good luck to them all i got an old buddy over there hope he makes it back ok. Least them guys aint gun happy. And in relation to jackals post leveling afganistan wouldn't get rid of bin laden, since he's most likely sunning it with all his buddies in saudi, I didn't see you guys invading there though, suppose its a different kettle of fish when your target has an army and is also a threat. |

Its war... Only 1000 deaths.. even after the war period. Such statistics were expected. Actually those deaths should be 10x higher. Its war, war shouldnt happen. But we are already in there, now we have to finish what we started. Instead of bashing on the soldiers that r fighting. stfu and give them some support. Maybe we went to iraq for the wrong motives. but the results should b great to a country that knew nothing of liberty before. Its a horrible loss to take, but in the end it will be worth it. And we should remember those soldiers as heroes that they are, since they gaved their life for the right purpose. Something you know nothing about, coward that you are. Just stfu and go hide under ur bed. I have friends out there fighting. I just hope they live to see the beautiful thing they started, even thou the process to get there might had not been teh best, but it was teh only way. Diplomacy failed. and err.. saudi arabia collaborates with the usa. there is no need to attack them. |

Not to mention that Saudi Arabia is the last place he would want to go. He may have a lot of popular support, but the powers that be there aren't too fond of him. Largely because the only good thing you can say about the guy is that he opposes corrupt, decadent, and secular dictatorships like the House of Saud that are propped up by the US government at the expense of regular muslims. My money says that he's either still in the Afghanistan/Pakistan/Uzbekistan etc area, or else he's somewhere like his old stomping grounds in the Sudan. |

I don't think you'll find a single Iraqi saying they're better off now then they were before the war. What beautiful outcome are you talking about?? Bush is trying to rush any kind of government so he can get the f*** out. Just like Afghansitan's beautiful government that controls only half the capital. |

psst.. you want them to leave.. because u dont want more ppl to die. you want them to stay because u dont want to leave those contries to be what they were before. Set you mind kid. and see that we need to stay there for a couple more years, and in those years hundreds more will die. but thats the only way out. The right way also. |

I said Iraq was better off before the war so that means I didn't want your troops to go there and I don't want them to stay there. I don't know how you came to the conclusion that I wanted them to stay there cause they were making a difference, which they aren't. |

My 2 cents: Invading Iraq has done nothing but hurt the war on terror by inflaming further animosity towards the west. The war, while morally right, was poorly timed, poorly planned, and not enough effort was made to bring allies on board. My country (Canada) is firmly behind the US in the war on terror, but chose to opt out because our intelligence services told our Prime Minister that the US intel about WMD was all exagerrations, speculation, and hear-say. Not to mention the nonsense about Iraq being behind 911. And lo and behold, the US intel turned out to be false. So if the US had wanted to invade 5 years ago or 5 years from now, great! We would have been first in line to help. doing it now has just made things worse. BUT Now that the US and Britain are in there, they owe it to the Iraqi people to stay the course and finish the job, whether it takes 2, 5, or 10 years. I'm rather disappointed that Bush is now saying that we (and our European allies) have a "responsibility and obligation" to help, as if the current mess is somehow our fault |
