I thought the dex capped at 100 thing was only for speed of hits? I don't think it has anything to do with hitting or missing. |

Ok, my $.02 I can maintain 90 dex while hunting without really trying with basic buff spells. And the reagent cost on that is pretty minimal. So i don't see a real issue there. Yeah daemons aren't 110+ dex, but we're far from crippled. Likewise bandages cost so little gold it's not even funny. 10 gold for a bolt from tailor, or you can keep sheep. Or even if you do the most expensive option a bolt is only 80 gold. That's 1 kill for 50-100 bandies. The miss rate needs to get toned down a bit though. I'm measuring 40%+ miss rates on weak things like lizards. And i agree with others in saying daemon poly needs to be a little less erratic. OR make the other polymorph forms more usable when daemon is less so. Right now it's pretty much daemon or nothing, since the next step down is quite weak by comparison. I'd enjoy switching to gargoyle for some fights, or troll, if they had advantages. Oh there's a thought, give each polymorph a special ability? Still doing my hunting runs, but so far gold hasn't been the horrible worthlessness people are complaining about. But i'll reserve judgement till we get more people's hunting logs up or i finish all the dungeons and main overland hunting spots. |

For 1 the miss rate is because of the low dex soi fixing it would be as simple as giving us back our dex. And when you take into account the regs you use just to polly, ra, and prot, then add dex buffing, then the extra regs you use to heal because the healing delay for bandies is extremely long and parry does not work worth a shit I would say you might as well of used your warrior to hunt because you gain a hell of a lot more pk and lose nothing but a few bandies. This is like a slap in the face to me and others who have spent the time and money perfecting a char for a specific purpose. When you also factor in that if a pk comes unless you happen to have a gate wep,(if they still work) you are dead and you lose everything anyway, because you can't even pvp warriors on pollied deamon anymore. |

I'll go ahead and call shenanigans on everything you've said belgarion. And if ya doubt me, do the experiments yourself. First off the miss rate has (relatively) nothing to do with dex. Never really has. Dex just determines hit speed. So my bet is that the misses are due to something else. ( An easy way to test this is to grab a friend. Do 50 hits while you're in normal low-dex form, then 50 hits in a high-dex polymorph. You'll notice the miss rate is about the same. ) That being said i'm in agreement that it needs fixing. Wrestling characters are missing a little ore than they should. (Try this at home kids, take a character with wrestling, find a friend, hit em 20 times, then equip a weapon, hit em 20 more times. You miss around 5-10% less with the weapon ) Second, i listed my entire reag usage and how it's determined, and i'm comming out ahead fine. Especially considering reags cost a LOT less than what they used to, so even if i have to buy reags (which i rarely ever have to do, because i hunt to be self-sufficient), it would take almost nothing out of my gold gain from the hunt. Let's even assume you use a shit-ton of reagents, say you're a caster-centric pvm. Ok, 2k for 50 of each reagent (less if you buy em in shops). You're saying you can't kill 20 100 gold creatures before you use up most of those reagents? If so, you need to come in-game with me and i'll run a "how to polymorph fight" seminar and we'll figure out what you're doing weird. As for pks, ask any of the pks who have played the shard, ask how easy it is to pk me if they get the drop on me hunting. Then ask if they've ever seen me use a gate weapon. You might be surprised to learn that i never have, and yet i still rarely get pk'd. Yes, i don't pk them back, but this char is neither designed for that, NOR would i do it if it was, because angels don't chase down people in self defense. |

have u ever seen the skittles commercial about walking contradictions? jesus christ belg.. ............ but ya agree with duo,,, on the things that dont have to do with wrestling,, which are probably correct on duo's case but I can't test them my self so I can't say i agree or disagree with them. |

When did i say that hit and miss had nothing to do with dex chips? Other than Duo just now, noone did. What i said was that the dex cap at 100 had nothing to do with hitting or missing but with speed. As for not using a lot of regs to heal Duo you seem to be the only one so i guess you should be showing everyone what we are doing wrong. Because the problem is with me atleast anyway is that you cannot heal fast enough with just bandies especially if you are fighting more than one monster at a time. and i would say to hunt for an hour i use a hell of alot more than 50 of some reags, gi and ga for example. And i am not the only one it seems that is complaining so i would say i am not the only one. |

Wow belg do you even bother to READ what you type? Just so you cant miss it here it is again...
Did you catch that belg? No? here it is again for you. I don't see any other way of interpreting that other than low dex = wrestling misses... but please explain to us belg. You've said we arn't as "intelligent" as you are, and you've directly called people morons. Just in case you missed it belg...
Now mind you belg, BOTH those quotes are in this thread so don't go saying I'm quoting you out of context. So please explain how those two statements can possibly agree with each other, I'm sure everyone here would LOVE to hear this one. Chronos |

Yeah I think the miss rate for wrestling is too high as well, it's not unusual to get 3 or sometimes even 4 misses in a row Chronos |

K try to keep up chronos i know it is hard for you, The dex cap at 100 is for speed, and speed only. What i said and what i thought is that dex, meaning max dax which has nothing to do with the cap had to do with hits and misses, according to Duo that is not the case, but either way 2 those statements DO NOT contradict whatsoever. |

I have no problem at all keeping up with the forums belg, I wasn't the one incorrectly stating that dex had a major impact on the miss rate. Perhaps you should do some actual testing yourself before posting on the forums your "facts". Chronos |

Did you know that? No you didn't, otherwise you would have said that from the start. So maybe you should actually try knowing something, anything before trampling all over peoples posts. |

That's what I suggested YOU do belg... Try testing things out before posting them as facts. Honestly do you even read the posts before you reply? Chronos |
