I'd like to emphasize that you need to recall our runestone out of your starting area and then come back, or the game will stop responding in minutes. Even recalling to the same place you are at still fixes this

Am I the only person who never crashes? strange.
Well, UO never crashes, my computer itself crashes a few times, but not UO related.

Here are the tricks for UO not to crash:
1. Don't alt-tab for more then a little bit
2. Don't macro for extended periods of time, and if you do NEVER put the window in the background
3. Turn off music
4. Certain firewalls are incompatible with parts of UO, Zonealarm 5 for example, it helps produce crashes, I would suggest downgrading to 4.5. That will also solve a lot of other problems, as Zonealarm 5 does not help the firewall at all, just cosmetic and extracurricular changes, and causes more problems then it "supposebly" fixes, so downgrade ASAP.
5. Don't have more then 3 containers/windows open that aren't your backpack. And close them before you move.

Those are some easy tricks to follow that will cut down on crashes for you guys

interesting, I have Zone Alarm 5 but I haven't noticed any more crashing than I had before I had it. Any specific instances of crashing that it helps create?

Not really specific instances, although you are prone to them when you are online for more then half an hour at one time with ZA 5.
Also ZA 5 causes problems with a LOT of other programs, most commonly used, so i suggest downgrading to 4.5 ASAP.
ZA 5 offers no extra firewall protection, it just has more bells and whistles which makes it unstable
