I think they should have it either by kills or age of account. Cause once an account age reachs like 50 im pretty sure they know what there doing and where not to go.

So you're saying that if I were to delete my former characters and completely start over from scratch several years later, I shouldn't be entitled to the same privilege because of the age of my account?

I would say you shouldnt be entitled to poof if your old. Because you know the game and what they do now is make a new char and then run in and gank with no worries of being killed because they poof. Point of poofing is to let the new players learn the game.

i say just fix the current system, but with what everyone agrees on

1.) 1-2 week poofing time for new characters
2.) 3 kills or crimi means you can't poof
with the 3 kills system, your not decaying a kill in a week or 2 anyway so ya lol

I'd rather tweak the murder system (allow players to report murders?) rather then raise the kill count for poofers.

I also agree with a 1 month (or even much longer) time for new players to poof.... assuming that they are new players. This game has a huge learning curve, and the more time new players have to get the hang of things, the more likely they are to stick around.

I think what we need is more ways to loose poofing status...ways that would a new player would not normally stumble across, but a vet with a new character or account would work towards as soon as they got in the game...like high str, macroed skills, exc....

The old system for poofing worked just fine. 2 weeks is plenty of time for people to learn the ropes of the
game. Most of the players that come to this game have played other UO Shards, so not a lot of things
are different.

In those 2 weeks a new player has ample time to learn the ropes.

Learn where to hunt and where not to hunt. How to train what skills and what skills to not train on a
certain character.

If anything most new characters start out with a crafter (rarely). Most jump into pvp characters.

people with a lower account age then i unno X months get the full month as a noob character to poof

but people who go over X amount of months with there account only get 1 / 2 weeks to poof as that character,

would that solver everyone's gropes
