<img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/ ... bureau.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> You're seeing a dual monitor screenshot here, Obsidian runs on the ThinkPad's screen at the bottom, as it's larger. The top screen gets mIRC, server stats, message boards, Gaim & notepad stuff. Both run at 1024X768 with 16 bit color depth, as this seems a bit faster with my setup. The desktop has not a pic on it, no quicklaunch ect. and very few icons as it's faster this way. Shortcuts to things that I use regularly are by order of frequency used in start menu. The start menu is on top, since this way i can slam the mouse in the corner to open it, rather then aiming for the button if it were on the bottom of the top screen. This also puts my programs first in the scrolling menu, as the stop/help/parameters/ect. stay at the bottom of this menu. Only Gaim starts with Windows, as keeping it lean & clean helps speed. Only having 128m ram, theese small things end up making a noticeable difference. |
