Well the recent change made it so necros now freeze no matter what. Even if we spirit speak. I dont know if you relised it but just by doing that you made necros almost completely useless. They are now WAY unbalanced. I am a maxed out necromancer and i cant even stand a chance against a bear attacking me, now every spell i cast i have to be hit because i become frozen. Which takes the biggest tactics necros had away (aka able to hit and run)

It isnt even possible for us to dodge a wall now that we freeze even if we heal using the heal necro spell. We are almost instantly doomed outside town.

didnt test .. but yes ability to use a skill to not freeze was a necros saving grace...
was wondering what synergy was :roll: lmao
i cant imagine doing anything on a necro besides ganking someone (you'll still prolly die) if what albert says is true...

umm buuuut you said you try to compensate for things you take away... soooo where is the compensation?...

+ why make this change?... was there any complaints about the ability for necros to move? :roll:

I took it as a stopgap to stop a certain player from exploiting the stupidity of the monster artificial intelligence until i can find a more permanent solution. I checked who actively plays a necro beforehand, and being as there are only two currently, i'm not that concerned.

Also i will point out it far from "kills" necromancers, it just means you'd have to play them different. I just don't have the time currently to see exactly what i'd need to counterbalance it with, if at all. Players as a whole, especially after a nerf, have a tendancy to say it "Ruins" a character when it is nowhere near that catastrophic.

In most cases the pause is about what archers would have to wait to fire an arrow.

I was wondering than if you could get a necro to fight a mage or a warrior than to test and see how good they are now?

a maxed out necro that has alot of experience with them. Like Anti-Duo to fight any decent warrior or maxed mage.

Cause this may seem like a little change but for those that only play with necro u notice this ALOT.

Kingblackhorn, you are more than welcome to perform some tests with mages/warriors. Post what you think of the fight and have the opponent post what they thought of the fight. This will allow for better modification.

Ive already tested and i get owned easily. But id like bob to pick a necromancer he thinks "knows" how to use them and fight agaisnt someone. I wana see if they do better than i do and accualy kills an opponent or if he has the same outcome and dies very quickly

Have the other player post what they think. Also it is very hard to pick a single necromancer because Jorus originally scripted necromancers with sub-classes that cannot be easily identified because he is a drunkard.

Bob and other staff including myself like to see other view points. This is why I ask you to have other players (read as non-necros) comment about how the fight went. This will give us a better idea of how things are now.

i think most necros have the same build now....

annddd by nerfing them .. how do u expect MORE people to play on them?...................

annnnd i am pretty sure i am the best necro still.. even though im not active lmao.... soooo :/

and i RELIED on SS to not die... when i failed and hit a spell anyway way (hunting) it would result in death most of the time.....

as far as pvp.. I am willing to fight against or w/ my necro :/ against any other necro / player...

i always wanted to fight to see whos the best necro .. lots of compition :roll:

Bring back the way necros were in 2004 that is one way to fix necros . Animate dead bodies and no timers.

Ya been testing em alot latley they suck now. Also your logic about only 2 necros that play actively now so its ok to unbalance em is not right...
There would be way more necros if they werent tweaked constantly and turned to shit. Just yesterday i saw 2 old necros that went human because it was to unbalanced for them. (aka Storm, Musa, and im pretty sure alot more have changed back to human)

Do not just say things are unbalanced. Give numbers. Come up with possible solutions. Say if spell x was tweaked to y damage or spell a was tweaked to b paralyze. it would help fine tune it better. But like I said Jorus was messed up in the head. He scripted a lot of different variables in builds to start with. To say necromancy is unbalanced is hard to say. I have not taken the time to go into your build (nor know where to start) to see where you would be strong and where you were weak based on Jorus' scripting. From what I have seen from minor browsing is most builds used are for cast speed.

Ok well than... Since we are destined to freeze after every spell we take making it almost impossible to escape a stone wall. I suggest that Necromancer class weakness of taking EXTRA damage is removed to even it out.

Necromancers pretty much dont wear any armor. If they decide to wear the bone armor it only gives 20 AR MAX. Necros cannot wear myth due to the cost of 10 Percent Fizzle in our Mage spells AND our necro spells (i think its a bug that it fizzles necromancery but when i reported i guess it was not...)

So we are hit with around 40-50 damage a hit which we die Very quick.

I have a fully gm'd necro. Everything is still working fine for me besides the new freezing after casting... its not horrible.... just very annoying.

Dude, please explain more on the freezing besides just annoying. Are there some spells it is too long? Are there some spells you just won't use now? How has it effected you damage output?

he's saying any freezing is a death sentence for necros b/c there low armor + extra damage....
he said he can't escape stone walls with the freezing.... welll he could just not cast necro spells... but whats the point of a necro then :?
andd sparger its hard to give numbers here... damage output has NOTHING to do w/ the problems here.. necros are fine in that area... its a game of avoiding e walls while keeping ur target stationary while doing damage for necros v tanks / warriors, and a game of capture v mages...

and no one wants to give out there build with necromancy being built over secrecy or w.e soo dont expect people to just blurt there builds out

punishing all necros for 1 necro hunting is stupid... not like that that second or 2 freeze will hurt anyone in PVM that is smart enough :roll: to exploit 10 year old AI.....

buut bobs right about active necros.. there arent any.... I'm not.... good luck getting them active now :roll:
