There has been many changes since then and if koldoon had let me get prepared for the fight im sure i would have won (also maher and i had an agreement to only use 2 shrunk bears in that fight since they were cheap, which he lied and used 3).

I played my mage recently and im at 71.2 med. My med rate is 53% and when i successfully med i have a 19 second cooldown. I have to agree that mages need some work. Id like to see FS tweaked a bit as it isnt used.

There is nothing wrong. It is all balanced, Pvp mages own all warriors ive seen so far besides hemo. Hemo has nice +7 and Vanq weps thats why hes strong.. With the Current Weapon system bob made, It should balance everything out after all the good weapons in storage are gone.

things are close to balance, but theres things that need tweaking for sure,
any warrior shouldn't be able to stand vrs ALL mages... and vise versa... thats not balance,

What is balanced to you guys tho? Mages having to use summons? Or getting lucky and maybe winning against a warrior who is otherwise shit 1 out of 6 times? How the f*** is that balanced?. You keep saying try it, try it, try it, but i don't need to eat shit to know it tastes bad either. There is 1 more option as well Hank. The one i have chozen not play at all until it is made better. And if it is never made better than so be it.

I dun think anyone said it's balanced, just almost balanced...
bears need to do less damage,
mages need to be speeded up...
poison needs to be tweeked..

I don't think a "oh this sucks" post really helps at this point.. its just being said over and over,
as well as the same ideas..

No spells need to do damage, bears should have nothing to do with pvp. That is my point. If a mage needs to use a bear or any other summons to beat a warrior that is not balanced. And nothing will EVER change my opinion on that.

all i have to say.. heh..

i think obsidian has evolved to something that everyone is going to have to accept as a non pvp shard.. im not saying pvp isn't possible.. but umm id put it in terms like this.. u can sit all day bouncing a ball off the wall but how much fun are u really gonna have..

obsidian has evolved into something that is much more quest oriented, dungun raid.. type play style

the core mechanics do not tailor to pvp.. with the classes and races alteration it will not be "obsidian pvp" well as I know it anyways..
not knocking it.. i must commend the hard work envolved

im just going to go on record saying u will never reach true balance as long as you hang outside the realm of the 7 skill warrior (vamp).. and the mage structure of the past to counter balance it...

at the time when vampires warriors, mages, and tanks were all on par was what you should focus on and try to regain... u could even throw necro into the mix.. there u go 4 pvp classes.. who needs more builds..
the simplicity of it makes it stable...
and who cares if everyone picks a vampire to make a warrior...
the whole counterpart to that was all tanks were humans.. races had some caps (not as extreme as current) and the humans got to start with 2 skills at 50.. now it dont mater what race u choose u still get to pick 2 skills... screw that...
go back to if u pick human u start with lower cap but get to start higher in 2 skills..
because humans were not caped in any skill they were the ideal tank... (however... you guys destroyed that in a simple dex/heal implementation.. and deadly poison adition..

if you bring back races to how they were.. fix mages to how they were.. do away with dex properties... and eliminate the need for poisoning and make the skill function like it supposed to.. to poison a wepon...
you will find a more balanced structure..
what i suggest is trying to build a balance on a level surface.. currently... you are trying to build a balance on a ball.. like one of those balancing bears u see at the circus wearing a skirt and a funny hat...

at some point you have to get realistic..
if you put to many things into the mix.. u cant make it work... you got to cutt all these idea's and go back to what works.. not what sounds cool.. or hey lets try this...

how about we get realistic.. look at obsidian's prime.. when u had the 40+on around the clock..
find the system there.. and replicate it!!

i would have to disagree with you adam..

the answer to balancing on the ball is finding balance, not turning it into a decahedron sitting and calling it a day..

there is no reason why vamp warriors could be balanced vrs human mages/warriors and no one else could....

but classes can't be balanced pvp wise, unless there actually balanced for pvp lol... most race skills DON'T help in pvp, and some even hinder pvp......

EG.
running through a specific tree, summoning a random player/animal that doesn't do anything, or being able to find 5 bandies or a single reg, on the floor will never help you out in pvp.... ever......
specially w/ bears as they are...

that makes sense that most race skills should help them in pvp.... but then why do frost elf (or ice elfs what ever they are called) seem to be totally geared towards pvp? snowballs, ice wall, a summon even. plus they even get an hp boost and even though its supposed to be fire spells do extra dmg it really seems like they dont.

if other races are geared towards pvp then why make any of the race skills geared towards it at all? for the most part race skills are useless in pvp cept for blood for vamps, and pretty much all of the frost elf abilities..l
