i think the best days was in t3a when armor was rare and was giving better armor, now alot of miners can make black and blood sets easier and they give now much lower than t3a, also other armors are much easier.

i think if they should give the same armor as t3a.. and make the fail rate higher as it used to be in t3a too.

in t3a there was no black rock or blood rock armor or silver... you could not make it.

we coudnt? i remember i weared a black armor in t3a and it gave me something like 200 ar

the set i have is from t3a and its noowhere near that.

my full valorite set gives like 56 armour w/o shield ,while my black rock gives 58.

also i remember blackrock used to give that high armour but maybe 150 armour without protection

i dont think fail rates need to be changed or things need to be made or any ore made more rare than currently it is..
however..
i think that black rock should offer quite a bit more ar than valorite
otherwise there is no point for it

and also.. heater shields are currently a waste of extra ore.. as all shields types give u the same armor rating.. so why not make a metal shield or kite.. or something else besides heater..

I think you are all insane, ore is already harder to come by then it once was i can usually mine half the amount i used to in the same amount of time, i have noticed an increase in rose/black that is found now as opposed to t3a but thats it and for getting half the amount of other ores that i used to need some sort of trade off. the only reason armor is not rare atm is because there are smiths who are selling armor at 1/3 the price that we used to sell armor at, not to mention that we all have our own smiths now as well as I believe it was Duo who pointed out.

mining fail rates are ridiculously high at the moment and blackrock armor still takes about 6 months to make mining at least an hour each day. thats for one full set...last time I calculated at least...

well your character might be bugged, because ur not supposed to be able to fail on a armor now, u might get shabby quality armor, but never fail
same with alchemy.. i never fail a pot EVER

so dunno, maybe ur characters bugged or something

Please stay on topic of armor and not success rates

At 100 Armor on average you null out 50 damage each time you are hit. Minimum nullification 0 per hit. Maximum nullification 100 per hit. Sometimes chance is on your side and you null out well sometimes you are shooting craps and get the low end over and over.

Armor is balanced for pvp warrior vs warrior not on pvm.
Please discuss armor in those terms because basing it on pvm would make pvp worthless.
Another option would be to widen weapon damage range for some of the hard hitting weapons (hally, pitch, ect) so there is more variable in the hit.
