I have set my vendor to buy items of a certain sort. How or can people even sell to a vendor as of yet? If not, will it ever happen that player vendors will be able to purchase items for a set price from players?

vendors are going to be completely recoded later(getting the menu back).
until then, you use current vendors as an at-risk situation.
