as far as marking, if you can get there with just walking and teleporting I dont think u should be jailed for it
because if your like me. shit i dont explore so if i run across something cool ima mark and not think twice about it,
so if thats the case that u can just walk or tele to a spot it shouldnt be named illegal, unless its harming the shard somehow by people being there

That is my point exactly why should runes to beggars island be illegal and the one in minoc is ok? They are both obtained the exact same way, it is not like there is a runecode to it.

Huh? The one in minoc wasn't obtained the same way as far as I'm aware. Plus the begger isle is a gm made island - we could simply remove it but we like having it so we just removed the runes to there.

Not all island runes were obtained through cheating.

Well in that case how is it possible to gain a rune to an island that has no other access but by boat, which there is none, or by GM, which is how i got the one to beggers? It is exactly the same. GM made or not it is an unaccessible island to any normal means so a rune there should be illegal.

just wanna know 2 things............


1.- How much time im gonna be in jail ? cus i dont login too much this days and the few times i login Echo was offline

2.- Did u just delete de "illegal" runes or all the container ? if some of my runes where illegal cus i barely remember what runes i have since i havent touch my bags in yrs.. i dont wanna loss the rest of my normal runes

I always find it humorous when players seem to be incapable or unwilling to read basic instruction.
Right at the beginning of this thread, Bob pointed out that all jailings were done on an automated basis, and that a GM would be reviewing each case individually if you page ingame. So I fail to see the relevance of relieving your tension by moaning on the forums.

Now, I don't think it's fair to blame Bob's coding if you got caught for bug abuse, either. That's like saying after you stole someone's car that it's their fault for leaving the keys on the front seat.

All MMOs encounter bugs - for example, World of Warcraft has seen some 10,000 bugs since it began.

Furthermore, having illegal runes has always been, um, illegal. In fact, I remember going around with GM Cybervic under threat from Broadband that those caught with illegal runes would have the entire chest containing them deleted (in house) or bank deleted (bank). <--The older players will remember this

We did not have to 'warn' people because they have always been illegal. If people choose to flout the rules then they can expect to be punished - it's not fair on the players who are honest and follow the rules.

I think you will all agree that a little jail time is MUCH better than BB or Cybervic deleting your chests/bank/house. Play nice

I was never debating wether or not the rune i had was illegal i just want to know how 1 island that is completely unaccessible except by staff or a rune is illegal and the other is not?

Leads to the conclusion that those runes are and aren't legal.
