That would make vampire a completely untouchable race, magery caps where implemented to try and balance out the races. Basically if you wanted to make a mage you went either human or warlock, and for a warrior you would go vamp. A tank mage with GM magery and the ability to go berserk would be way too overpowered.

Vampire abilitys isnt really that good though. Only one thats useful is infrared sight. Berzerk only works 1 of 2 and only 1 of 3 times it gives around 100-150 hp, doesnt seem to bad but it takes to much time to use it that if you fail youll die which happens most of the time. I rarely use it cause i dont like the gambling of it, youll lose at least 3-4 secs of healing or running or whatever.

Vamp abilities kick ass. They are a large advantage in PvP, and the only thing that really lets warriors stand toe to toe with mages. If you really think they are not that useful...well...then you could use some practice using them.

Bezerk is probably the vamp ability I use the least. It's helpful in a bind, but overrated.

It's easier to avoid a hit then it is to recover from one.

good stuff so far... :)

i would like to see:

1. races (although i've already maxed out my character slots).

2. bowyers being able to repair bows. maybe balance that out with requiring a small amount of ingots for crossbow creation/repair. thus allowing smiths to still logically repair crossbows. maybe throw in a requirement for a log or two for normal bow repair. for example: 1 log for bow repairs, 1 log 1 ingot for crossbows, and 2 log 2 ingots for elvin bows? maybe only GM bowyers and smiths could repair elvin bows? or wouldn't it be fun to require more team work and have a high level bowyer do the first part of an elvin bow repair and then have to hand it off to a smith to finish the job within a certain amount of time ( a few seconds) ? :D

3. how about fixing some of the magical fish and the feast fish? that should make things very interesting across the board especially for combat and the economy. i hate wasting the 100 to 150 useless colored fish i catch so i sell them for their 20 gold. but, man, that is quite a click-a-thon! and i've crashed more than a few vendors doing that (they only buy but will not sell due to what seems to be inventory overload).

i think that's it for me. however, i must say that i love obs warts and all. although i agree there could be some improvement i would hate to see it done heavy handed or to the extreme. it seems to me that many of the limitations and bugs encourage (or at least should encourage) people to work together more. i don't think i would really care for a shard with uber-powerful players running around with no guild/fear/friends.

i apologize since my few paltry ideas were mostly based on what characters i play. but i encourage others to think of subtle (easy?) changes that could change or improve the game in a fun new way.

but all in all, the game is good as it is. i know bb and/or whoever doing the coding must have a life that is as busy or busier than most of us so...

enjoy what we have while we have it!

How about having more 1v1 pvp's events.

I would lov to have skill cap at 1000. In my opinion it would be nice to be able to switch ex. macing to swords when ever you want. It would actually be kind of fun. Because each skill has it advantages. :)

As for pvp, i think is not a bad system, i just think reactive armor is wayyyy to overpower, you would stay hitting a mage for like 10 mins and is hard to get life to half, when is does happen they would have already half if not full mana to heal and kill you :).

Instead of making new armor how about tweeking the spawns for ores like rose and blackrock and make it so it is possible to actually make a blackrock set again?
