Allright, after we figured out that you the portal only allows those that wear the dress of a drow to pass through it to the correct location, we stepped through and wound up in the middle of a swamp. The swamp itself is like quicksand and doing the wrong thing will send you to a murky death at the bottom, at least till the drow find you and throw you in jail.
North of the swamp is four ankhs, in sets of two, with an shadow vortex in the middle of each one.
The four ankhs are named Dlodbo Garon, Wadrk Odo, Fomon Thaere, Badrk Noe. While the battle was raging, me and slug got together and figured out that they were indeed, word puzzles, and once solved they yield.
Dragon Blood
Dark Wood - We believe this is referring to dead wood.
Moon Feather - We believe this is the feather of a moonbird.
Dark Bone
Now each ankh says "You need XX more", so we believe they are the reagents needed to open, or maybe shut down the shadow vortexes,but sadly, we only had two of the four ingrediants, and could not figure out how to make the ankh accept them, maybe we require all four.
We have the 25 dragons blood, and the 100 dead wood required.
IT also requires 50 moon feathers, and 200 dark bones.
The dark bones are not an easy task to gather, as you have to kill skeleton shades to get the, and each shade only drops 1 bone!
Please, everyone, pool together all your dark bones, and we may have enough, hunters have already been dispatched to moonglow to remove the moon feathers from the moonbird.
Our photographer is still in the darkroom, and once he comes out the images of the preceedings of the day shall be put on display as well

Addition: The photographer is back, but unfortunatly due to drow magic, much of the images were ruined, but a few remained!

and i am still looking for moonbirds in moonglow

is there any other place that moonbirds r at ?

The moonfeather collection is now completely, we are awaiting collection of the dark bone. They can be found on skeletal shades.
Currently I have around 30, and I know lots of people are hunting for them.

WOW you guys rock. OMFG you guys rock. Is there any way to get to this swamp, or do we have to go through the maze every time? I guess once we have all the components then we nned then hopefully we only need one assault on the maze to get a ton of peeps to the swamp to HOPEFULLY finish it.

Yeah when I first went in I saw the warriors and figured I should run. But I sank in quickly instead.

Was running through the ankh names through an anagram generator I have and was wondering what the hell were moon feathers, dark wood, etc etc. Never heard of them..So I thought I was on the wrong track or something..Thanks for solving it guys!

Actually I was first through, followed bya LOT of people. That swamp is a pain.
The trick to getting over it is to WALK LIGHTLY, aka have a low weight, that is why most newbies could cross it easily

Oh i went in before that first screen and everyone started wearing the gear so i tot i could be first since no one else seemed to follow through for a while. But I may be mistaken Sorry there.

Anyway maybe we can run a tally of the items we have now here on the forums and put it in someone's bank or something. Everyone reports to that person to consolidate the materials needed. Once we're ready we can storm the place again. Any volunteers to collect the stuff? How about you Duo?

Was going to steup a drophouse but unfortunatly Heero's house is already in use.

So here's what i'm thinking.

In 1 hour 15 minuets, at 9 PM Central, 10 eastern, I will be at vesper bank, bring any dark bones or moon feathers you have. We're only missing a few moonfeathers htouhg, what we need mostly are dark bones.

Do you guys know the locations to fight skeleton shades or is it just random?

one spawns in the yew graveyard, and the other place you can find them is in Haunted Hill, through the mine north of oasis, where they are in abundance.

We did haunte dhill for over an hour last night, and there was only a single shade spawned in all that time...

Darn, I never made it through the portal.. just fought off the elves before I had to go to bed. Glad you guys were able to make it through and figure out the next part of the quest.
