Welcome to the official Obsidian Court of Appeal.

The purpose of the court is to act as an appeals system to the rulings put down by staff. Since i'm in charge of appeals - I choose to run it this way. If you feel that you have been wrongfully mistreated in a certain case you can choose to bring it to court.

Court cases can be brought about by the following reasons:
1) You have been banned
2) You have been jailed
3) You have had your skill reduced
3) You have been given a unique punishment (such as collecting 30000 logs in one day)
4) Any combination of the above

Court will not listen to appeals about timeouts, macro stones or name calling (unless racially or sexually motivated)

Here's what you have to do to setup an Appeal:

Send me a forum pm labelled "Court Case" and give me all the details of the case. (I must approve it before it goes to the court room)

After your PM has been recieved. I'll either grant you a hearing or refuse your case if it's just plain idiotic. You'll be sent 3 or 4 times available for a hearing of your case. You will then choose a time and we will proceed. All court cases must relate to rulings by staff.

When a date has been agreed upon, I will assign a staffmember the task of ruling over the case. The majority of the time it will be myself who is the judge. However in cases involving jailtime, skill loss and or the unique punishment; it is possible to have another staff member acting as judge. It falls to the judge's discretion to either rule on the case or allow a jury to rule on the case.

Court Case #1:
Gandalf the White vs Ryoko Haibuki

Ryoko seeks the removal of his neighbour's house as (he claims) it blocks his entrance to his abode.

Time: 8am (GMT+10) 23rd May 2009 (or 23 hours from this post)

Result: Ryoko failed to turn up at 8am, thus the claim will be removed and Gandalf's house will not need to be moved.
